​Israeli choreographer Lior Tavori is the founder and artistic director of the Lior Tabori Dance Company based in Tel Aviv. He holds a master's degree in dance and a bachelor's degree in fine arts. His works are characterized by passion, sexuality and animality, while testing the boundaries of the pathological medium combined with innovation, emotion and technical precision. In recent years, he has created works for dance companies around the world, including the Scapino Ballet, Rotterdam; the Munich National Ballet, the Guangzhou Opera House and Chongqing Ballet, China; and the Quorum Company, Ballet Lisbon. Tavori created dance works for the Curtain Raiser Festival in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

His works have won numerous awards in Israel and have been performed on countless stages around the world, including China, Italy, Spain, the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Georgia, Taiwan, the Netherlands, Germany and Portugal.
Tavori is the winner of the 2024 Rosenblum Prize for the Performing Arts.
